JUVÉDERM®, which is a hyaluronic acid filler, are sometimes used to build up skeletal deficiencies, a more permanent way, whether or not you're utilizing an injectable technique or a permanent implant technique, depends upon what it is you're trying to achieve and the duration you wish to have. The patient needs to meet with the surgeon and find out their expertise and experience. Fillers, in general, are temporary. Some will last a year, some up to and including two years. An implant, however, is a solid piece, and it will stay there as long as you. However, it won't stop you from aging. It's just that you will not need to have that repeated. Implants often require a general aesthetic, and there will be significant swelling, bruising, versus fillers, which are usually done with a needle and usually have very little downtime. In fact, most people have the fillers done and can go out for dinner that night.
