3-D rotating image of before and after rhinoplastyMany patients who are considering facial enhancement hesitate because of uncertainty over how their results will look. Even the best estimations of your surgical outcome can leave some room for doubt without having a visual representation of how your appearance will be affected. Dr. Peter Brownrigg is pleased to provide his patients with an accurate demonstration of what their results will look like through 3D facial imaging at his Ottawa cosmetic and reconstructive facial plastic surgery practice. This exciting technological breakthrough allows patients to feel confident in the outcome of a procedure before committing to it, eliminating the fear of undesirable or unnatural-looking results. 3D Vectra Imaging for Precise Treatment Planning

Dr. Brownrigg describes what 3D Vectra Imaging is; a camera system that allows him to take pictures and turn it into a 3D version, thus allowing patients to see how the facial plastic surgery procedure results can look like.

Vectra 3D Imaging

Our practice uses the Vectra H1, a high definition, portable 3D camera with multiple lenses designed to create extremely detailed images of your facial features. After we upload this information onto our computer, we are able to use Canfield’s Sculptor 3D Simulation to create a realistic representation of how you will look after your procedure. This camera and software are so versatile that they can create high definition 3D images of multiple procedures, so you can decide which treatments will best help you achieve the results you are looking for.

Canfield’s Sculptor imaging software can simulate the effects of most surgical and non-surgical procedures, with tools that can alter the size, shape, and contouring of your unique facial features. This enables Dr. Brownrigg to modify different elements within the digital image, and precisely fine tune the extent of the augmentation. These features provide the ability to simulate 3D images for several facial procedures, including:

By using this advanced technology, Dr. Brownrigg is able to show patients fine details of what their results will look like from different angles. This allows the patient to make a final determination of whether a procedure is right for them, while being assured of the results they can expect.

Benefits of Vectra 3D imaging

By combining procedures to correct multiple concerns without altering your defining characteristics, we are able to take years off your appearance while ensuring your enhancement looks completely natural. Our imaging software not only provides patients with a realistic representation of what they will look like after surgery, but also provides Dr. Brownrigg with a surgical guide to follow, allowing for more precise results and improved patient satisfaction.
