New Treatments Available At Our Office
We have recently welcomed a few new exceptional treatments and services to our office. Patients who have a full spectrum of concerns such as, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring or keloids, hair loss, rosacea, large pores, pigmentation issues, tone and texure, will be quite happy to hear this news. We are now offering Microneedling, Vampire facials and Chemical peels. We are not discounting our other fantastic treatments such as Thermage, Botox, Juvederm filler or any of our wonderful surgical options that of course will still help to create and maintain your best self. However, we are quite excited to give our patients some extra added options.
Microneedling is helpful at restoring and promoting collagen and elastin to skin that has lost its firmness, thickness and elasticity. It involves a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure. A Cosmopen with fine needles is used to create tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin. This helps in prompting the body to create new collagen and elastin to fill these tiny puncture wounds.
There are advantages to the technology of the Cosmopen that is used for both microneedling and vampire facials. Cosmopen prevents exessive trauma to the skin. There is also no risk of cross infection because the tip is interchangeable and disposable. The smaller tip helps to treat the hard to reach areas. There is also a high level of accuracy, consistent speed and depth. Another added benefit to microneedling is that it is great for all skin types and there is very minimal downtime with these treatments. There may sometimes be slight redness for up to 12 or 48 hours afterwards. Since there are no major side effects, patients are able to resume normal activities immediately after treatment. 
Vampire Facials combine microneedling with Selpyl PRP. Selphyl PRP is a patented technology that uses your own platelets and reintroduces them back into your skin to proliferate cell regeneration and boost collagen. It is known to stimulate hair growth on the scalp and help with wound healing and scar removal. It also helps to erase wrinkles and create a more youthful look. The process is simple and the entire procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. A small amount of the patients own blood is drawn from them into a tube. This is then spun in what is called a centrifuge, that separates the Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) from the other elements of the blood. Once this process is completed the PRP is then transferred into a second tube which creates Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM). The Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix is then massaged back into the areas specified and amidst the microneedling treatment. In doing so the Selphyl PRP has a direct path through the tiny punctures so that it can reach the lower layers of the dermis.
Patients typically require at least 3 treatments spread one month apart and then another treatment at one years time. However patients normally see some noticeable results prior to their second treatment. By combining microneedling with Selphyl PRP you are able to see faster more amplified and targeted results.
One more wonderful treatment that we are excited to share with our patients is our pharmaceutical-grade Vivier chemical peels. We offer two types of peels. One is a more mild peel great for most skin types. The other is our Vivier Jessner peel, with a slightly stronger result. Our milder peel is effective at brightening and tightening your skin. It will help leave your skin feeling radiant and glowing.
Our Jessner peel will give you the added benefits of our Vivier peel although it will be a slightly more agressive peel with a more pronounced result. Both peels will help to diminish fine lines and wrinkles and encourage cellular turnover. They both contain key therapeutic ingredients to improve your complexion, and reduce the appearance of sun damage, age spots and melasma. It is also beneficial with improving acne, minimizing large pores and helping alleviate the appearance of scarring. There is minimal downtime and the results leave you with a youthful radiant glow you’ll be able to see instantly. Patients may be interested in scheduling their treatments a couple of days before a big event, so that they can look their best! Of course any time is a great time to pamper your skin!
